Benson, could you share a 1990 Old Town catalogue page?
If I understand HIN correctly, this will be Johnson Outdoors (Old Town) build number 45847, January 9, 1990.
It is a 15 foot Royalex Pathfinder.
I'm a sucker for OT Royalex! If I include my Snapper kayak, this is the 12th one that has followed me home.
My wife just pointed out that recently I have purchased hulls that were built 85 years apart (Rushton Indian and this). She is paying far too much attention. Canoes are way too hard to sneak into the garage. I made a strategic blunder when I displaced her V60 with the Indian.
Thanks,
Mike

The Pathfinder page from the 1990 catalog is attached below. The chart at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/oldtown_chart.html indicates that you have serial number 345847. The hull identification number format only permits a five digit serial number and Old Town needs more. Their solution is to simply drop the most significant digits. The information at https://www.usps.org/national/safety/HIN/HIN.pdf indicates that you have one that was built in May of 1989 for the 1990 model year. I also like ABS and have two in my garage (a lightweight experimental Lettmann Mark 4-R kayak, and a Pack canoe). Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you Benson. That is very interesting information. Thanks for setting me straight.
The Pathfinder that I purchased is/was blue one.
The black vinyl has held up perfectly. Some of the older ones that I owned had the tan colored rails. The tan ones had a tendency to crack. That has not been the case with these.
