Who hid my paddle?
I spent the weekend at Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden Michigan talking to many people about wood canoes. Canoes on display: Dugout canoe, All wood Walter Dean, PennYan Guide shortened to 14'6", a 15' Rushton Indian Girl under construction, and a Ferdy Goode Beaver Bark masterpiece which stole the show.
I passed out all my WCHA brochures. I learned of many wood canoes in barns and family rooms locally.
