I'm thinking of building the Piccolo lapstrake canoe by Robert H. Baker and am wondering if anyone out there has had experience with it and can give any feedback. What is the impression of it as a solo paddler? Sailing ability is not so important to me.
I'm planning to use it for the commute from home to work and back on a protected harbor and poking around on smaller lakes and streams with some portages.
