Photo Request

Love all the pictures posted here--- they're wonderful! Can't imagine how hard it will be selecting only a few... seems there's nothing more photogenic than a wooden canoe with or without happy people, children, dogs... on water that is solid or liquid... it's always a "feel-good" sort-of-thing!

Early Fall in the Fulton Chain, Adirondacks, very old Morris, boat house I love. Photo by Ken Kelly.

Very nice:cool: Good shot Ken!

I have been working on this bark canoe during our beautiful fall here in northern Wi. and getting very close to launching before the lakes freeze, which has already happened in some of the quiet bays.

nice shot

Thanks Ferdy,
Chris didn't mention how many fuzzy ones were taken before one came out well...hard for me to hold the camera still when twisting around in my canoe and using max telephoto.

Here are a couple from Twin Lakes, one from the Mi Chapter paddle on the AuSauble this fall, and one that gives a head start on Spring photos.

Wow!!!!

I am overwhelmed! THANK YOU ALL! I posted a similar request to my local canoe club and got ...two, I think. Then again, they're fiberglass and plastic paddlers. Thanks, everyone. Obviously we have some great photogs and I have some great ideas.
Thanks,
Roger

I want to paddle that river

Dave, great photo!
we've seen this stretch of river in other photos - right? Isn't it the same as the 2011 WCHA calendar photo? Let's have a MI Chapter paddle on that river!

My granddaughter in Louiaiana swamp

This was taken for a surprize Christmas present for her Dad. We had to sneek the canoe out of the carport while he was at work. He was very surprised at the 24x30 photo, and very delighted!!

Bark Canoe

Beaver, You may be interested in seeing what I do with old fibreglas canoes that people give me. This is close as I'll ever get to paddling a real bark canoe.
