Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
In Memoriam
This event has been moved to a week later this year due to a scheduling conflict. It will be held on Saturday, 22 August. This event is usually well attended by our Mainiac Members. Some very nice boats and canoes have shown up in years past.

The gathering is held in Oquossoc, Maine near Rangeley. Home of fly fishing legends and the Rangeley Boat. Slips available for wooden boat show, free wooden boat related vendor areas, sailing races including boats and wooden sailing canoes. Annual, "Sink the Bismarck" is worth the price of admission alone (free). Small boat parade and lots of activities in town. Theme for the boat parade this year is "Caribbean". Go nuts with that.

Location: Downtown Oquossoc, (Route 16) Maine. Boat activities are staged at the Saddleback Marina, Set up any time after 8 AM, Saturday morning, show starts 10 AM - 3-3:30 PM. Wooden Boat Slips available, and land for vendors of wooden boat theme. Awards for the races, and organizers are hoping to build a good group for the canoe sailing division and of course they have the open sailing division. So bring on the boats!

Capt. Fitz and daughter, Ensign Erin are looking to defend our title in the canoe sailing division...
