Hey guys, I am trying to barter with a guy with a old rowboat. From the pictures it needs restoration, and looks similar to Old Towns I've seen. I am currently try to get the serial number from the guy, but can one of you more Old Town Savy guys ID this old girl.

It might be an Old Town square stern model but many of the construction details are not typical. There were many other builders who built boats like this. A serial number would help as Dave suggested.

I have the same boat and I'm restoring for a trip in a few weeks. I bought it from the son of the original owner who bought it in 1947. He referred to it as an old town and there was the remnants of a sticker on the deck but I for the life of me can't find the serial number.. its not on the stem.. They are definitely nice boats!
