Old Town look up please

The Old Town canoe with serial number 179647 is a 15 foot long Light Weight model with thwarts in place of seats and a keel. It was built between December, 1967 and May, 1968. The original exterior canvas covering was painted dark green. It shipped on August 14th, 1970 to Laramie, Wyoming. The back side of the card indicates that this canoe had been loaned to Allen Martin in Orono, Maine and it was returned on July 13th, 1970. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

Benson

Thank you Benson!
It's no longer in Wyoming, it's for sale in the Hudson Valley, NYS. It's in very nice shape, apparently rarely used.
