Old Town canoe

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with serial number 97135 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Yankee model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between January and June, 1928. The original exterior paint color was blue with a CP monogram in red on the right bow and left stern. It shipped on June 11th, 1928 to Portland, Maine. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
