Thanks Peter !

Well as promised I was able to get Nokomis on the water this morning. It was a great September morn. A faint full moon was still visible when I slipped down to the shop.

Pelicans were above the Joe Reasoner Dam, that holds back Lake Nokomis.

My first impression was how stable Nokomis was, thanks to it's flat bottom.

We've had a lot of rain lately, and so I was either paddling against the current, of floating with it. Anxious to get her on some flat water, and some waves.

I'm really excited to get Nokomis's Carbon Fiber Sister in the shop to work on.

Thanks to everyone that commented, and tagged along with this build ! Nokomis took 9 months to build, but was worth every minute !
Thanks again !

Here's pics from this morning.

Thanks Dan !
I've been building shallow arched solos for ever. Flattening the bottom proved a great stability improver !

adding a little rocker might improve turning, but slow it down. Not something I want to do !

Plan to paddle it more this week, and put it to the test, compared to others I have !

I'll let the Spar Urethane harden a few days, then apply Watco to the gunnels.
