Looking for info on a 12' Old Town Rowboat

Hey all, working on a client's 12' old town row boat and looking for the original info if still available. Don't do many wood canvas boats, so if this belongs somewhere else or if there's an online database I can search let me know.

Serial number is 130934 12 from inner stem.

Appears likely AA grade, mahogany transom and rails

Welcome, the Old Town with serial number 130934 is a 12 foot long, AA (or top) grade Auto Pack model (which was the original name for what later became known as the Sportboat) with mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany seats, and a keel. It was built between November, 1940 and January, 1941. The original exterior paint color was dark red. It shipped on February 9th, 1941 to the boat show at the Mechanics Building in Boston, Massachusetts. It went from there to a dealer in Waltham, Massachusetts on February 11th, 1941. A scan showing this build record can be found below.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.

It is possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the boat. The catalog page describing it is available at https://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?attachments/32781/ from 1941. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions. Good luck with the restoration,

Benson
