Determing the canoes condition

Its always a crap shoot when a customer ask me whats wrong with their canoe. So many things can be hidden its hard to cover all the bases. With the proper diagnostic tools I have found its much easier to determine the real health of the canoe!

mm I think my decks might need a stethoscope and maybe I could hear if the woodworm are chomping away in the Gunwales!

Interestingly, I was featured in the local newspaper recently in an effort to promote wooden canoes and wcha. the writer referred to me as Miracle Max of old mostly dead canoes. I apparently may have said something about an old derelict not being all dead, but just mostly dead. If it was all dead there's nothing you can do except sift through the ashes for the brass. Or something along those lines.
