Chestnut deck and side decals and Peterborough deck decals are available from Roger MacGregor and also through the Canadian Canoe Museum. I don't think anyone makes a repro of the Lakefield decals.

    Cheers,

Speaking of decals, the new water slide Old Towns are great. Before the web site crash, someone posted about the delicate nature of water slides. I remember playing with them as a kid, but since that's been a few years, I was a little nervous the first time I used a new Old Town decal- tearing, folding, etc. Anyway, I thought that if the surface it was applied to was good and wet, I'd have more play and less frustration. I wet it good with water from my finger, slid the decal onto the deck, and had plenty of wiggle room and time with no chance of damage. Decal just slid around on the base of water. I've since applied several more to all the Old Towns I've restored in the last few months, and all have gone on with no trouble. Hope this alleviates some of the fear others may have.

Where are Old Town 'water slide' decals available?

Looking for a reproduction of the decal used on a 1912 AA 18ft Ideal model.

Click the WCHA Merchandise button on the contents page- this takes you to the WCHA store. The decals are listed with photos and general years of use.
