Army Duck?

A few years ago I was given a roll of #12 Army Duck canvas by a restorer that passed away.
It has a finer weave than the traditional cotton duck we use on canoes.
A search of this site comes up blank for Army Duck. Is there a use for it in the wooden canoe world?

Is it OD? We used to have a roll of that around. As I recall, it was water repellant. You might want to test a piece of it to see if it will fill.
