Welcome back, the Old Town canoe with serial number 175754 is a 16 foot long Guide model with a keel. It was built between February and April, 1966. The original exterior paint color was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It shipped on April 22nd, 1966 to Traverse City, Michigan. The back side of the record indicates that there was a previous request for a copy of this information on April 16th, 1976 that was sent to Grayling, Michigan. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join, or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

Great information, thank you Benson. I was given the canoe by a close relative of the gentleman who originally requested the build sheet you provided above. I plan to bring it back to life as it was originally built. BTW, I plan to renew my membership in this fine organization soonest.
