I just received a canoe from my father in law. I believe it to be an Old Town. It is 15 feet long and has a square stern. serial number is 136329. I would like to have more information so I can register it. Thank you.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 136329 is a 15 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, square end paddling model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash and spruce seats, half ribs, a keel, outside stems, sponsons, and a rowing seat. It was built between October, 1942 and March, 1943. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on May, 24th, 1943 to Duluth, Minnesota. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
