Wood Canvas ID Help

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I need help identifying this canoe!
It is 16'-4" long, 31" across at the gunwales amidships, and 13" deep. Ends are about 22" tall. Ribs are 2-1/4" wide, planking is 3-1/2" wide, thwarts are 2-1/2" wide and seat frame inner dimensions are 6" x 13". Seats and thwarts seem to be made of ash.
Closed gunwales, no keel, and brass stembands.
A couple of details that stood out are the vertical dimensions of the gunwale stock-they are 1-1/8" thick, and the way the stem ends on the ribs with a more gradual taper.
I have not found any sign of a serial number or maker's nameplate.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help. I've been looking at photos of confirmed Detroit canoes here in the forum and a lot of the little details are matching up, like the deck shape, thwart shape and placement, stem bottom ends, and the chunky gunwales.
I'm in central New York and was just given this canoe by a couple not far away. I wonder if they had Midwest relatives in their ancestry that would have brought this canoe out this way. Or would a Detroit canoe have been shipped out here to be sold originally? I'll have to do more searching.
