It's the revival of the mid 1960s Span Boats, Inc. jet powered canoe. Span Boats, Inc. was located at Rice Lake, WI and later Cameron, WI from 1964 to 1969. They went belly up and had a liquidation auction in early 1970.

Chet Karstaedt and Bart Hoekstra were co-owners of Span Boats, Inc. from 1964 to 1966. Chet's son Brad has in recent years been marketing and selling these canoes. They are built for him by a fiberglass firm someplace near Sheboygan, WI.
