what is this Canoe and where made?

This is a 1012 chieftian sailing canue. I would like to know the back round on who made it and its apprroximate value. See attached photos

I vote Peterborough Canoe Co. Peterborough, Ont., based on construction and the oval on the front deck king plank.

I notice someone used a 2x4 for a thwart but the other appears original.

Should have thwart tags.

I'm with Paul, It is a Peterborough. Strip it, get rid of the horrible eye on the bow, recane the seats and it would be a great canoe!
