Tip of the Thumb Water Trail

We stumbled on the "Tip of the Thumb Water Trail in Michigan". Has anyone here ever paddled up there?

I used to paddle there fishing. Now I just wade it while fly fishing for smallies. The north and east side are rocky and the Saginaw bay side are sandy. It's generally shallow. There is a kayak livery and guide service in Port Austin. Quite a bit is private land.
