Tie-down Points on a Chestnut

Good Info. I like the one-man loader. There's probably one in my future.
In my bike touring days I learned a lot about what doesn't work. You would be amazed at the number of bungie cords end up o the side of the road. I'm also not big on clever ratchet systems, or hooks of any type. I use fat, soft , nylon ropes with an eye splice on the passenger side and a round turn and two half-hitches on the driver's side, a minimum of three for any load. The fat (3/4) ropes may be overkill, but a lot easier to see any chafe and certainly easier to untie in the cold.
