Good job Mark!

Now comes the fun part, bringing the old girl back to her previous glory! Before you replace the canvas, check for any unseen damage to the planks and also replace any loose tacks. I also lightly sand the outside of the hull and then put a few thinned coats of an oil based varnish on before putting the new canvas on. Whatever you do, don't get in a hurry to put the new canvas on until you have all the wood repairs done first.

Good Luck!

Len

I advise using boiled linseed oil on the hull exterior. Note that the interior should be done with tongue oil or varnish first otherwise you may stain the interior.
