Trent University in Peterborough, where Assembly was held in July, is bisected by a river and a road which runs along the river. To gain access to water, a walk of 3 or 4 hundred yards to the Peterborough Rowing Club boathouse was needed. Those of you who attended know that a construction project was going on next to the boathouse, and to control road
traffic there, a flagman was on duty. The attached photos were taken by Sandi Spaulding, who paddled with me. In the first photo the flagman is so far away you can barely see him. Sandi asked him if he would mind positioning himself such that he and my canoe while crossing the road were in the frame. He seemed pleased that we asked, but unfortunately we did not ask his name.
