I have an all wooden canoe with 2 brass emblems that reads "Made for George C. Winter by Maurice A. Picard Jr. Huron Indian". The canoe does not appear to have ever been in water. There are no scratches or wear anywhere on it.
    Any information would be appreciated.

The Picards were (are still?) a family of canoe builders in Village-des-Huron, Quebec. A little more can be learned by going to my Canoe ID Guide (http://dragonflycanoe.com/id/) and clicking on the link to "Huron" canoes.

    Cheers,
    Dan
