Hi all,

Need some help with a serial number.
The serial number is 023186 stamped on the stern stem. Other details include:
The canoe is canvas on plank.
The ribs are trapezoidal with a width of 1 3/8" on 3" centres.
The top edge of the ribs are rounded only near the bow and stern.
Robertson screws are used in the ribs.
The beam is 35 5/8" and the overall length is 15'9", with a depth of 12".

Any help you can provide or suggest is greatly appreciated.

Robertson screws usually indicate a canoe from Canada but there are no known serial number records from any of the major Canadian manufacturers. You may be able to identify your canoe from other characteristics described at http://www.dragonflycanoe.com/id/ in the Wood Canoe Identification Guide. It would also be helpful if you could post some pictures here. Please reply here if you solve the mystery or have any other questions.
