    Scott,

140815 was assigned to a 18' AA Grade HW model that had Ash gunwales, seats, decks and thwarts. It was fitted with a keel and sponsons. THe original color was listed as Dark Green, but there was also a notation about GS Green (guides special - a bit lighter). This could indicate that it was two-tone - with the sponsons painted the lighter color. It was shipped to Trenton OH in January of 1945. A copy of the build record is attached.

Scans of approximately 210,000 records were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Additional information about the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
