   this canoe is aluminum serial # 011 325 I know this says wooden however I would like to request someones knowledge of how old this may be. it is great shape made a good buy

   It should have a hull identification number (HIN) on the starboard stern if it was built after 1972. This begins with three letters to identify the manufacturer and ends with an encoded shipping date. The page at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm has more information about interpreting a HIN. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
