So as this is a first for me, painting a design on the bow of a canoe, I'm wondering is it customary to paint it on only one side, if so which side is preferable or should it go on both sides? Yikes more painting!
I plan on putting the yellow military ribbon with a poppy to honour the purpose for this canoe. All proceeds from its sale will go to support the restoration of a local cenotaph commemorating its veterans which includes my Grandfather and his brother who was killed in the battle for Vimy Ridge.
    Thanks, Gary

This was typically a customer preference. The common options were: one side of the bow, both sides of the bow, or one on the right side of the bow with another on the left side of the stern. Let us know what you decide.

Thanks Benson but for someone who has difficulty making a decision you've given me more options, ha. I like the idea of the alternate sides of the bow stern idea though thanks.
I'll post something once I decide and paint it.
