Paddling around Assembly

Rob Stevens

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
We are organizing several paddling excursions during Assembly.

For anyone who wants to add a trip before or after the main event, there is Adirondack route information here;

http://www.canoeoutfitters.com/routes.html

St. Regis Outfitters (same website as above) also sell the new 2nd edition of Adirondack Paddler's Guide by Dave Cilley ($28.95) as well as the companion Adirondack Paddler's Map available for $19.95.
Waterproof and tearproof material. Full color, shaded relief and topographic map at a 1:50,000 scale. Shows private land, state land, and wilderness designated lands, in graduated shades. Up to date portages, trails and numbered campsites.

There is also a second edition of "Adirondack Canoe Waters, North Flow"
by Paul F. Jamieson for $16.95

The Assembly Planning Committee will have reference materials on site for short trips in the immediate area around Paul Smith's.
