Looking for the build info for XTC22788M79B fiberglass Old Town. She's a beauty! Much appreciate any info anyone has on here.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town canoe with the hull identification number XTC22788M79B and serial number 222788 is an 18 foot long Casco Fisher model that weighed 95 pounds. It was built in September, 1978. The original exterior gelcoat color was avocado. It shipped on September 21st, 1978 to Newbury, Massachusetts. A scan showing this build record can be found below.

Curious about Wooden Canoes
Do you have an idea of how many of the 18’ Casco models were made over the years? I have been searching for another but they seem rare!
The Casco models are somewhat rare and were only listed in the catalogs from 1976 to 1978. This was previously known as the FG model which was shown from 1965 to 1975. the Old Town database has a sample which can be used to make estimates as shown at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/models.html for several other wooden models. The sample size is much smaller for the 18 foot long FG models so this estimate will be less accurate. It appears that about 965 of these were built. They show up in the sample database between 1966 and 1975 which works out to about 97 per year.
