The Old Town canoe with serial number 105900 is a 20 foot long, G. S. (Guide's Special or utility) grade, Guide's model with red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, half ribs, no keel, and sponsons. It was built in May, 1930. The original exterior paint color was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It shipped on May 20th, 1930 to Fort Fairfield, Maine. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
