The Old Town canoe with serial number 172113 is a 17 foot long Otca model with half ribs and a keel. It was built between May and June, 1962. The original exterior paint color was white. It shipped on June 29th, 1962 to Ottumwa, Iowa. It was damaged in transit and returned on August 1st, 1962. The repairs required two new ribs, some planking, and new white paint as shown on the back side of the card. It was then resold to East Providence, Rhode Island on August 28th, 1962. The new owner brought it back again on September 3rd, 1963 for another new rib, varnish and paint. It returned to Rhode Island on September 28th, 1963. Scans of both sides of this build record can be found by following the links behind the thumbnail images attached below.
