Hello, Just acquired a new boat! I was told it was and OTCA, but it has short decks, so maybe an HW? 16' long, former sailor, but no evidence of the rigging. I was told that it was at a camp on the CT river prior to 1960s.
Time to re-up the membership!

Congratulations and welcome back, the Old Town canoe with serial number 130912 is a 16 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Yankee model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between November, 1940 and June, 1941. The original exterior paint color was bright red. It was shipped on June 11th, 1941 to the East Hartford, Conn. This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
