Old Town build records

Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 150680 is an 18 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Guide model with white Maine cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, and a keel. It was built between April and June, 1948. The original exterior paint design was similar to the one shown at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/designs/design37.gif which was known as their design number 37. It shipped on July 3rd, 1948 to Bay City, Michigan. It returned for extensive repairs on August 1st, 1949. These are shown on the back side of the card. It returned to Oscoda, Michigan on August 29th, 1949.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 115460 is an 18 foot long, AA (or top) grade, guide model with red Western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, a keel, and a floor rack. It was built between January and July, 1935. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on June 30th, 1936 to Woodruff, Wisconsin.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 138679 is a 16 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Otca model with open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, a keel, a floor rack, a bang plate along the full length of the keel, and rub rails. It was built between October, 1943 and January, 1944. The original exterior paint design was similar to the one shown at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/designs/design45.gif which was later known as their design number 45. It shipped on June 6th, 1944 to Trenton, New Jersey.
