Nice if overpriced

Thanks for pointing that one out. I asked the seller a bunch of questions, but didn't ask why he/she obviously never looked at a canoe listing on eBay. One picture never does it for anyone, and I don't recall ever seeing a canoe go for what they are asking.

Is that duct tape...?

I will post the picture here for posterity... and maybe someone has an opinion as to the builder. I did ask the seller if any history of the canoe is known, if any marks are present, and if there is any actual evidence that it was used for sailing other than the probability that the seller isn't familiar with long decked canoes and decided that it was a sailing canoe rather than a courting canoe. (Well, I didn't actually say that, but asked what remnants of sailing are present and used the words "mast step").

The cockpit has a distinctive shape and perhaps someone here will know something.

sailer?

looks like a mast hole and possibly rudder pintles, but its strange for sure.
good time for Dick P to enlighten us;)
