Newly Acquired Keeywadin Chestnut

Hello all. I am trying to date my newly acquired canoe. My grandfather was a guide for many years at Keeywadin. He always paddled canoe #27. While at Keeywadin this past summer for the 125 year celebration, I was lucky enough to get my hands on an old chestnut cruiser and guess what, it is #27.
Although it may be an extremely hopeful quest, I am wondering if it could be one that he paddled.
It has the Keeywadin ribs and the added wood on the center thwart for carrying.

Have you spoken to Dylan or Emily Schoelzel of Salmon Falls Canoes? They have repaired and maintained Keewaydin's canoes for many years. The photos show that work has been done on your canoe -- a fair chance that they did some of it. Their contact information is in the WCHA builders and suppliers directory.
