    Greetings,

I am glad to be a part of this on-line community. My name is Nelson and I am active in Boy Scouting with an emphasis on Extreme winter camping and anything canoe by summer! Also I am learning and helping on my first restore of a Seliga canoe from camp Widji.

    Tks,
    Nelson

    Welcome Nelson,

Is the canoe you're working on one of Widji's or did you buy it from them?
Either way, if possible, I'd like to get the numbers for it, both the Widji hull number and Joe's S/N.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Seliga boat

    Dan,

This is one of two boats that Mr. Bennett brought back from the camp last fall. I am helping my friend Jeff, in cahoots with Bennett, restore. This labor day, Southern Adventist University students will take these two back to Widji and bring two more back for restoring. This one is signed on the hull, under the canvas, as Joe and Nora Seliga, 3-3-1981, # 109. I would be glad to get you more info as you direct.

    Tks,
    Nelson
