I’m looking for a new home for my 1988 16ft cedar strip canoe my father built and gave to me for my 16th birthday. This canoe is based off an Ojibway design and is called the butt out as my father saved the money from not smoking to built it. This canoe has seen many trips and portage trips through the years. It’s very stable and paddles nicely. The canoe has not seen the water in over 12 years but has been stored indoors. It has new gun walls and front decks the seats are sound. Although this has a ton of sentiment value I am looking to donate it to someone who will use it and enjoy as much as we did. And make some long lasting memories as I have.
