Are there any sites that take you thru making paddles from start to finish? From how to cut the logs to varnish?

I don't know of a web site that does that (but please share it here if you find one!), but this book: http://store.wcha.org/Canoe-Paddles-A-Complete-Guide-to-Making-Your-Own.html covers things from log to varnish.
