Thanx for posting this Craiglisting repleat with the nice photos. I am now the owner of an identical kayak, frame without canvas, that was thrown in as a freebie when I purchased a 17' OT Otca from an individual who had also advertised on craiglist. Although low on my "boat" TO DO list, I plan to recanvas this Kayak and am toying with the idea of sheathing the hull, not the decks, with 1/8" cedar planking in order to make it more "stab proof" in use. I realize that I will increase it's weight but it will still be much lighter than any of my W/C canoes.

Those are interesting outriggers/amas. Do they operate in that position or turn down 90 degrees?

Yeah, I noted that as well...they just can't work like that, can they? Seems like they'd pearl if given half a chance....
