E.M. White Launch?

The picture and caption at https://www.wcha.org/forums/index.php?attachments/13887/ are from a history of Old Town, Maine that was published in 1965 claiming that White invented sponsons and Chapman built the motors for his canoes. No credit or source was cited so this can't be independently verified. All of the known early White catalogs identify Palmer as the supplier of their engines as shown below from the 1915 catalog. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question,

Thank you for the info Benson. I guess my primary question was if E.M.White actually made a launch that does not appear to be wood and canvas and is not a canoe? This is a 23 foot launch with the Palmer engine mounted in the floor. It just threw me having never seen anything but canoes with E.M.White logo attached.
