Copyright?

This question might be for Benson, but I'll take any ideas. If I find an old photo or add from an Old Town catalog or advertisement can I use that on my website ? Thinking of it just for a good antique look. Copyright infringement? Is there any with Old Town or any other canoe companies. Dave

The general rule of thumb is that anything printed prior to 1922 is outside of copyright protection and can be used freely. Old Town may not sue you if you use something after that but it is probably not worth taking a chance. It is also best to avoid logos and things that are trademarks. Good luck,
