this item is on Denvers craigslist. search wood canoe. It has been restored. Trying to figure out maker of canoe. Also the one pic does not show the inside stem band.

I believe this canoe was the subject of another recent post....
My take on it was that it was a Thompson Ranger...50's vintage...low shear.
The extra wide stem band makes me think that there was an outer stem originally, which would be typical do this model. Looks like the decks, gunwales, seats, and possibly the thwarts have been replaced. Appears to be a nice serviceable wood/canvas canoe, none the less.

Same Canoe! Thanks Dave ! It is located in Colorado . I was just curious to make. We will be visiting our son in a couple of days in Colorado. Not interested in buying though.
