Canoe ID - Help

I have had a canoe hanging in my garage that I acquired over 10 years ago and have finally started the process of restoration. I am hoping that someone could help ID the canoe for me as there is no makers marks on the canoe. The canoe was rebuilt and recanvassed once prior. Here is what I know about the canoe:

Length - 16'
Width - 36"
Depth - approx 13" (tough to say for sure as there was new ribs added in that area)

Hoping someone can help me out and/or give me some suggestions of what else I need to look at. Really curious on what I am working with.

Thanks in advance.

Wide cant ribs and deck shapes suggest Chestnut to me . . . . but I have been wrong before.

Thanks for the responses.

There is no markings on the stem bands. As I get into the project I will let you know if I uncover any other clues.
