"CA106 " 9' Wood and Canvas

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I just bought a little project boat and don't know anything about it.
It does not really have any hardware left, except for a a screen door handle someone screwed to the deck.

The number on the stem reads CA106, stamped in both stems. The owner was either from Deerfield, MA or Bennington, NH if that helps.

Also, I could post some pictures of it for reference.

Thanks,
Alden in Barnstead NH

Posting pictures will help the people who know more than I do to help ID the canoe. Decks, stem profiles, seats, rib and planking patterns, all tell a story...

No plank pictures yet; I need to strip the paint on the inside and fiberglass on the outside.
If you cant see it in the first picture, coming down from the tip there is the imprint about the width of a brass band.
The outwales half-round the inwales pretty rectangular.

Great, thanks Dan!
I never bothered measuring it, just went by what the last owner said. Sure enough it's 10'.

So, if it's 106 it's either 1930 or 1940 right?

I restore antique windows and will probably bring it to the shop and use a Speedheater to strip it down next. After I remove all the superfluous sheet-rock screws.
