Attention canoe sailors!

I have been negotiating with the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater folks to allow some traditional sailing canoes to participate in the Working Waterfront at the Clearwater Revival (their annual folk/everything else festival at Croton Point Park 20 miles north of NYC). This is a very family-friendly event with lots of great music and activities for all ages. The dates are June 19-20. There is camping for exhibitors on the festival grounds and I can put up a few folks at my house (15 miles north of the festival in Putnam Valley). If anyone is interested I will need a tentative head/boat count by Mid-April. Contact me if you're interested.

Maybe I'll come

as well and while I'm there I'll speak to the old hippie Pete Seeger about naming their boat the "Clearwater" without my family's permission. It should be worth a free beer at least. Tickets for the Clearwater Festival are not cheap so I hope we can get in for free.

The Hudson River is salt water at that location so wash out you canoe if it gets wet inside.
