Annual Killbear Paddlers Rendezvous

john hupfield

fire starter/wood burner
Once again we see who is intrepid enough to withstand the arduous trek to Granite Saddle Campground, Killbear Provincial Park for a weekend (+) of sand, water, good company and canoes.
Starting September 5 through whatever... Killbear is a camping format so bring your own food and refreshments and hopefully something to sail or paddle.
Check the archives for photos and reports from prior Rendezvous.
Camping fees do apply.
I believe this to be a sanctioned event of the Northern Lakes Chapter WCHA
Hope all had a fine summer.
John

Minimal rain, but all sorts of strange goings on.... Polynesian canoes, Steve Lapey renounces wood canoes, possibly the best year yet for outright fun.

Thank you Andre for not posting a picture of me needing assistance getting out of the little kayak. It was fun for a few minutes, but, at the end of the day I decided to take my wood/canvas canoe home.

The Killbear trophy is on display here in Groveland, we plan to bring it back next September!
