I recently received an 85 Merrimack from my brother in law. I've completely restored it, but I'm wondering if I should do something different or better for wood treatment. Merrimack said all they use is linseed oil, so that's what I've done at this point. Is there something else anyone would recommend? I guess I'm looking for something that will hold up better. I also wouldn't mind a more satin finish. The wood is cherry.
    Thanks,

I have not yet tried this on marine applications but it is the only thing I use on all my traditional wood projects and it works great.

Google; kramerize or kramers best antique improver

It's not the cheapest but without a doubt the best
