17 ' 1921 orca paint stripe

The build data lists "an orange 2 stripe on royal blue field" Can anybody tell me more? Is the stripe touching the gunwale or separated from it? By how far? Does it follow the gunwale curve or stray from it in a pleasant arc? How are the ends of the stripe configured?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

My guess is that a two inch stripe would have looked similar to the one at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/designs/design34.gif based on the build record shown below.
