This might be a hull identification number as described at http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm but these start with a three letter code. The format you have listed doesn't match to any known pattern that I am familiar with. It may be Canadian which uses a similar format as described at https://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/debs-obs-construction-manufacturer-menu-1690.htm but I don't know of any way to search for their codes on the web. Can you attach a photograph of the full set of letters and numbers on this one along with some overall images?
