14ft "chesnut" ID help

Hello friends!

I've recently come into the possession of a 14ft Wood Canvass canoe. I'm told it's a chestnut, but I dont actually know or believe it. It is 14ft in length, about 30" beam with 12ish" depth. I have attached a couple photos, any thoughts on what it might be?!

Many thanks for your assistance. I am thinking about either fixing it or getting it fixed up. It cost me nuthin'

After doing a little digging, is it possible this is a mermaid or playmate or maybe fox?

Unsure of vintage or how to tell!

Looks good for a Chestnut Fox. Every one I've seen or owned was much closer to the 30" beam that yours has rather than the 32" listed in the catalog.

Nice little canoes.
